The workshops are led by international teachers and facilitator with expertise in a cappella singing, circlesinging and vocal improvisation: Sara Jane Ghiotti and Francesco Nasone. You will work with each teacher on different aspects:
Francesco Nasone:
Circlesinging, vocal improvisation and modern a cappella singing.
Circlesinging is a practice that can help to bring to the light our world and being able to share it developing crativity and musicality. The flow in music is the balance between what we bring to the external world and the inputs from it, the practice of living in the present time in harmony and connection in a state of consciousness free of ego.
Through a series of games and exercises circlesinging-related, we'll work on: developing of expressivity, interpretation, consciousness and connection as a vocal group.
A cappella singing developed an incredible variety of styles and use of the voice. We'll explore and practice original arrangements using the voice in a more modern conception of voice-intrument in the a cappella vocal group environment.
Sara Jane Ghiotti:
A cappella choral repertoire.
Through the "messa in voce" of songs of different genres, we will focus on the differences between the various vocal styles, on the technical and expressive aspects of choral singing. The repertoire is made of classical pieces, ancient and baroque music, up to Sara Jane's original arrangements of jazz, pop and contemporary songs.
